Commissioned to design a high quality public open space for residents of Coppice in Oldham, inspiration for the park’s contemporary design, featuring imaginative play structures and multiuse spaces, was drawn from the strong geometry and ‘bands’ within the surrounding street grain.  The park’s functions and ingredients were chosen through extensive community engagement from the outset through design and implementation. The scheme, along with Selwyn Close housing development, won a Building for Life Gold award in 2006.
