Camlin Lonsdale was formed in 1989 when Robert Camlin and Tom Lonsdale joined in partnership to form an innovative force within the fields of landscape architecture and public realm. The practice has since grown steadily at its base in the Pennine landscape of West Yorkshire, incorporating in September 1999 and moving to a new studio in the Autumn of 2009.
Fully qualified and experienced landscape architects and urban designers Jess Bryne-Daniel (founding Director) and Xanthe Quayle (Director) aim to maintain the company reputation at the forefront of high quality, meaningful, sustainable development. Founding practice and company director Tom Lonsdale retired from the company in March 2008 but retains an active interest as a specialist consultant. Both Jess and Xanthe remain true to Robert’s and Tom’s founding mission and, whilst contributing their own distinctive character, are committed to this shared narrative.
